New YouTube channel for Playmobil!

Hey everybody!  JANG here and you probably know me from the JANGBRiCKS channel on YouTube where I review construction/building toys from LEGO, Mega Bloks, and others, and also do custom builds.

I've decided to try something new by testing the waters of the exciting world of Playmobil!  I loved Playmobil as a young kid, but only one friend had them and I never got any sets of my own, so mostly I had to enjoy it vicariously through pictures & advertisements.

Fast forward to over 30 years later, and I've launched JANGmobil on YouTube to see if I can help more kids around the world get enjoyment out of the wide variety of Playmobil products.  All aboard!  Off we go!

  1. Hi Jang you seem to have comments turned off on your Playmobil YouTue channel the last few days. Be happy to comment there on a few things. Enjoying the channel, thanks again for doing it. Timspfd aka Tiermann

    1. Uh-oh :-/ I just checked all of my recent videos and they show that commenting is allowed. I definitely have never intentionally disabled commenting, and I have comments from other viewers every day. Are you able to comment on other YouTube channels just fine?

  4. I had never heard of Playmobil, but now that I have watched some of your videos, I can see why you were so fascinated with these sets. They are like the perfect cross between non-building-block sets and Lego-type sets. And....although there is some pink in the City life sets, it is not so much in-your-face-pink that the Lego Friends sets have, and.... in many of the Playmobil sets, you can hardly find the color at all!! (as you can tell, this is a pet peeve of mine with the Lego Friends sets). And, to be able to change clothes on the figures--how cool is that!!

I also can totally identify with the "enjoying vicariously" toy sets as a child. I remember when Penney's and Sear's had the Christmas toy catalogs, and there was a doll house set I wanted so bad, and looked at so much, that the pages were dog eared and worn in the catalog, and if you dropped the catalog accidentally, it would automatically fall open to the doll house page. :) Of course, with a working class dad and 5 siblings, my parent's couldn't afford that particular item. Unfortunately, I think that is one reason why I am spending so much on Legos as an adult (of course, under the guise of doing it for my nephews). :)
